Chadia has written an amazing story about a life of adventure, joy and sadness, love and loss, which fortunately has a happy ending. An easy read and a very personal look at life in Lebanon, the US and Gold Coast, Queensland.

What a lovely and enchanting novel of endurance and resilience. At times I held my breath, other times I shed tears and others I acknowledged how fortunate my life has been. Listening to the audiobook was an enriching experience. Had so many laughs and tears throughout and would wholeheartedly recommend this story of true resilience, courage, and hope. Reading this inspired me to stay hopeful throughout life’s journeys despite the bitter and hard moments that I go through. Incredible book! 5/5

This amazing story shares how’s this beautiful young woman came through the adversity of war and the struggles to stay alive only to come through and then face domestic violence and the associated physical and emotional trauma. To find herself fleeing a second time with nothing but a suitcase. This amazing woman recognised Gods steady hand upon her life as she fought for the freedom she truly desired. A story of hope to never give up. This is truly an inspirational read.

Cyclamen takes one on a journey from a carefree childhood
in the beautiful mountains of Lebanon to the harsh
realities of war.
The violence that happens at a personal level is heart-breaking
and the overall destruction of a country shows the futility of war.
This book will resonate particularly well with those who have seen family taken to the very brink of tragedy and then forced to flee and find their way back to a better life far from their homeland.

This is an amazing story of tragedy, hope, love and inspiration. Knowing the author personally made it even more intriguing to read. I highly recommend reading the book and challenge you to not feel the emotions of its content.
